While enjoying her successful career as a musician, Ingrid Matthews Olson has not forgotten her childhood desire to become a painter. In Seattle, where she has served as music director of the Seattle Baroque Orchestra since 1994, she has pursued an eclectic education in the visual arts at Pratt Fine Arts Center, the Gage Academy of Art, North Seattle Community College, the University of Washington Experimental College, and through private instruction and drawing groups.

Recent and upcoming exhibits include:

• "Best of Gage" (June-August 2010),
• Floating Bridge Press's "Great Art Party" (September 2009),
• the Pratt Fine Arts Center's 2009 juried auction (May 2009),
• "Driven to Abstraction" at the Gage Academy's Rosen Gallery (February-March 2009),
